Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer (by Hope, 12)

"The best thing I have ever wasted my time on. :-)"

Book Rating: *** three stars (good but not perfect)
Book Subcategory: Young Adult

Briefly tell us what this book is about (without giving away the ending, of course!).

The Twilight Saga is about Bella Swann. She moves to Forks, Washington, where she meets the two loves of her life: Edward Cullen and Jacob Black. It's about making choices between what seems perfect and right and what you know you want in your heart. The saga is awesome and something you should definitely read over the summer.

How does the title relate to the storyline?

In each of the books, the title is compared to the events occurring in the book. Happens in all four.

Is there something interesting that the author does to present the story?

In the first three books, it's told from Bella's point of view. At the end of the third book, Jacob has a short epilogue. In Breaking Dawn (the last book), Jacob has an entire book inside the book. I LOVE it.

If you could rewrite the story, what would you change to make it better?

I would make it to where Bella chose Jacob over Edward, and they all live happily ever after.

Why would you recommend (or not recommend) this book to a friend?

I would recommend these books to someone with a mature mind that doesn't mind some sexual parts. I'm twelve, but I've also been forced to watch and listen to every bad word in the book, NOT by my own choice. But the books are awesome.

Why did you choose to read this particular book?

I was on summer break. I went to the store with my parents, and, on an impulse, bought Twilight. I instantly fell in love with the series and have been reading ever since, even though school's started back.

Complete this sentence:

When I finished reading the last page of this book, I felt... Sad, I loved the book and didn't want it to end.

What type of reader do you think this book is appropriate for?

The entire series is LONG, but definitely worth your time. I would say anybody age 13 and up if they haven't been sheltered by their parents their entire life.

Give at least one example of a memorable quote, moment, or theme from the book.

I can't just tell about one. I'd have to tell you the entire series! :D

Would you ever read another book by this author?

Yes

In your overall opinion, this book is...

The best book I've ever read!
