Getting a Review Accepted on SmartGirl To submit a review to SmartGirl, go to http://www.smartgirl.org/reviews/index.html. Then choose the category that the object you want to review falls under (Music, Movies, Books, etc) and click on the "Submit" link next to the appropriate category. Then, fill out the submit form where we ask you all the questions. You might want to read a few other people's reviews first to see how it works. SmartGirl does not take sides. No matter what you like or don't like, we support your opinion. So how do you get a review accepted? Write about something you care about. Tell us what you really think, honestly. Don't lie about your age. Tell us about something we haven't already heard about yet. Introduce us to a new opinion. Answer all the questions in full sentences, and give us lots of details. Example of the kind of answer we don't think is that exciting = "I liked it a lot!" Example of the kind of answer we love = "A lot of people think it's immature but there are a lot of political and grown-up references." (This is from an actual review). Still having trouble? Look at the kind of reviews that have gotten accepted. They tend to be long and full of new information or stories. Also, if we are getting thousands of reviews of the thing you're writing in about, your chances of getting accepted are lower. Finally, remember we can only send you your membership acceptance letter if you give us your email address. If you're under 13, you will need to give us your parent's or guardian's email instead of yours. Make sure you put your (or your parent's/guardian's) WHOLE email address, including the @ sign. For example, you should put iwalcott@aol.com, not just iwalcott. Good Luck! We're waiting to hear from you! |
